The following picture shows some of the collection of morrocan gold coins found on the Salcombe Cannon site. Each coin has a different inscription telling its own story. The collection is currently held in the British Museum.
The bulk of these Moroccan Dinars were struck in the dynasty of the Sa'did Sharifs who ruled Morocco between 1510 and 1660. The coins recovered consisted of full, half and quarter Dinars.

Full Dinnar

The adjacent photo of one of the full   Dinnar's shows just how detailed the inscription is on each coin.
