SWMAG is very pleased and immensely proud to announce that they have won the Open Prize in the English Heritage Awards for the Presentation of Heritage Research 2010.
Held yesterday (Fri, 26th Feb) at the British Museum, contestants gave a 20 minute presentation to a panel of judges and an audience of about 80 members of the public followed by a 10 minute question and answer session. The research subjects were wide ranging and the standard of presentations very high.
SWMAG presented on the significant find of late Bronze Age copper and tin ingots found last year and its potential significance in re-assessing Bronze Age trade.
SWMAG will be delivering the presentation again tomorrow at the Archaeology 2010 conference and can be viewed (with commentary) at http://swmag.org/presentation/AFTPOHR_20100226.
