SWMAG team member Ron Howell will deliver a Power Point presentation to an audience at Torquay Museum on February 8th 2025.
The talk will tell the story of the loss of the Ketch ‘Lord Napier’ carrying a cargo of bricks from Exmouth to Kingsbridge in 1912.
Research into the life of the Ketch covers the rise of the fishing industry in mid-Victorian times through to the First and Second World wars to names on a Devon War Memorial.
To date Ron has given over 200 talks over the years, the most popular of his six talks being ‘3000 Years of History from under the sea’ His talks have been given all over the West Country, Canada and Zoom talks in middle England.this some content
